There are numerous places to purchase native plants here in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Many nurseries carry some native plants even if they don’t realize it or focus on it. Take along a native plant list or wildflower field guide to double-check if a plant is native and local to our region. Call nurseries for hours before you go as some places are not open everyday. Check with the nursery to see if they sell what you want to buy, before gassing up the car and making a field trip.
This list includes nurseries I have personally visited and purchased plants from over the past several years. Octoraro is used by the habitat restoration group I volunteer with, and I can attest to their high quality of the plants, since I have handled and planted the plants.
iConserve.org maintains a list of places to buy native plants in Pennsylvania. http://www.iconservepa.org/buynatives.html

Hi Donna, As I am updating our email address on various nursery resource pges, I have stumbled onto your very nice site.
Meadowood Native Plant Nursery is considered in So East PA on some maps, and mostly in So Central PA on others. We really are solidly in the mid-state just east of Harrisburg, in Dauphin County with a Hummelstown address.
Find us on the web at: meadowoodnursery.org
I’ve enjoyed finding you on line. Jan Getgood
Hi, Janet
Thank you for letting me know about your nursery. I will add it to list of resources on this blog.
All the Best,
Donna
Hi, we are a little bit on the northern edge of ‘Southeastern PA’ but would love a visit from anyone in the area. Edge of the Woods Native Plant Nursery. 2415 Route 100, Orefield, PA 18069. We are located just west of Allentown pa. Our website is edgeofthewoodsnursery.com. We love all the folks listed here, too!
I have been planning to visit this nursery but it is a 1 to 2 hour drive from my house. The website looks good. If anyone knows anything about this nursery, feel free to share it with us.
Donna
