Here in Philadelphia we don’t get much snow but when we do, it makes up for lost time.
Twenty -eight and 1/2 inches fell on Saturday. Shoveling is not my idea of a great weekend.
We expect even more on Wednesday.
The activity at my bird feeder was frantic. Birds ate all day long we short breaks probably for water.
Even the Dark-eyed Junco were flying around from branch to branch and not hopping in the deep snow.
It is the winter and deep snow storms like this one that I make sure the feeders are well stocked. I guess the birds are grateful at the ready source of food.
