The United Rappahannock Nation is a indigenous tribal nation located in the tidewater area north of the Chesapeake Bay. The people have lived in the regions for hundreds or thousands of years. The people live in the northeastern woodlands and have a culture and society which shares traits with other Algonquin cultural groups. The traditional indigenous knowledge continues to help the people survive.
