I have been a librarian, school librarian, and environmental science teacher for over twenty-five years. I have read and reviewed thousands of books. And what I find is some books are mostly filler information. Publishers want books to have so many pages and to be certain sizes when the book sits on a bookstore shelf. This sometimes means a book is overly long. I often read a book and think it would have been a better book if it was half the length it was printed.
